Despite his devotion to music, Kenoly also excelled academically. He graduated in the top 3% of his high school class and earned 6 honors upon receiving his Bachelor's degree in music with a minor in Italian. He then graduated with a Magna Cum Laude upon earning his Master's degree. He continues to be a passionate advocate for music education, fostering a deep appreciation for piano among his students.
Now aside from his achievements in academia, some of Kenoly’s achievements in the field of music include winning multiple piano competitions such as the Act-so music competition (1st place at both classical and Jazz category), Debose National Piano Competition (2nd place), winning the local, regional and national level at the Omega Psi Phi Talent Hunt, receiving outstanding soloist medal 3 years in a row at the Texas UIL solo and ensemble contest in piano, University of Texas at Austin Nilsson Piano Competition (2nd place for two consecutive years), National Association of Negro Musicians Piano Competition (3rd place), Tuesday Musical Club Piano Competition (3rd place) and more.
In addition to his performance and teaching endeavors, Kenoly has also served as a judge for piano competitions, such as the ADMTA piano festival, where he evaluated performances in the romantic and contemporary categories. He is dedicated to inspiring a love for piano in his students, encouraging them to achieve their highest potential through a love for music.
