I have studied voice with Susan for more than five years, and I have always been excited for my lessons. Susan educates the whole person, both as a musician and as a broader individual. As far as vocal instruction, Susan equips her students with the skills which are needed to sing safely and well in any style of music. I have always particularly valued her emphasis on preventing vocal injury, either by singing while ill or without proper support. Susan teaches about breath support as a basic component of musicianship, and continued to grow with the student as he or she studies more demanding repertoire requiring even more careful breath support.

I have always particularly valued Susan's willingness to work with each students individual tastes and preferences. During my time with her, I have studied everything from The Jungle Book to Broadway to Simon and Garfunkel, sacred music, and opera. Usually we chose repertoire that we both know, but Susan has also suggested some of my favorite pieces, and has always been willing to learn new music to teach it to me.

Susan has been a wonderful teacher for me. I have grown immeasurably as a vocalist during my time with her, but her instruction has had value to me even beyond music. She teaches about managing stress, maintaining a positive attitude no matter what you face, and so much more. I highly recommend her to all young students.

Susan Katz has been a wonderful influence on our daughter who has been taking piano lessons with her for a little more than four years. In addition to her terrific teaching of the piano, she has also impressed upon my daughter some very important life values and cultural awareness. Susan Katz has educated my daughter about the different kinds of music and traditions from all over the world which has made it a fun and interesting learning environment for her to learn.

Her knowledge of music and her experience with performing for an audience is inspiring to children and encourages them to be creative and expressive in many different ways whether it is playing the piano, singing, writing or dancing. Susan Katz is a patient and kind person who has a wonderful way with children.

Susan Katz is a gift a parent gives to a child. She is not only a wonderful music teacher, but also an inspiration to children to love and appreciate music. Susan lights up the room with warmth and love and has added immeasurable pleasure to our lives.

Susan Katz has been teaching my son piano and giving my daughter voice lessons for the last year.

As a former elementary school teacher, l know how important it is for children to have positive feelings towards their teacher. I can honestly say that my children adore Ms. Katz.

My nine-year-old son had taken piano from another teacher and was going to stop playing until he met Ms. Katz. She helped him to enjoy music once again.

My twelve year old daughter is extremely shy. I thought that voice lessons might help to relax her in front of others. Not only has she become less shy, she even tried out for a solo in the school choral concert and was selected as the soloist. Last year, she was too shy to try out. My daughter also had been treated by a speech therapist for vocal nodules and was concerned about damaging her vocal chords. Susan Katz has been wonderful at teaching my daughter how to properly use her voice without the fear of vocal damage.

I selected Susan Katz to work with my children because she is trained as a music therapist. It has been a perfect fit for my two children. Not only are nail children learning music skills but their are also learning to use music to help them with other aspects of their lives. Her upbeat personality and dedication to the music profession would be a benefit to all children.

They walked into the 1st lesson unsure of what to expect and since then have blossomed to love and cherish music. 1 have seen the confidence level in both of my children grow with each lesson. Susan Katz has been my music teacher for 10 years. I have known her since I was 6 years old. She has given me piano, guitar, and voice lessons among many other things such as love, motivation, determination and support. I must say that I have never met anybody else like her anywhere. To find someone like her in a generation is very rare and hard and I know that God had a very special place in His/Her heart for all the people that have been a part of her life. She's a wonderful music teacher and a wonderful person.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Susan Ellen Katz over the past year, during which time she has taught music to my two children. I often observe her interactions with my kids as she comes to my home to do this, and I count myself lucky to have found her.

My children, ages 10 and 12 years, are unfailingly enthusiastic about the time they spend with Ms Katz. She clearly has a talent for engaging children in activities that they otherwise might find onerous. My son was unambiguously ambivalent (at best) about taking piano, and he is now proud of and clearly enjoying his new found skills. Music means more to both of my children as a result of their time spent with Ms Katz.

Ms. Katz is bright, animated and smart about what she does with children, and I have no doubt that she will be successful at any endeavor she pursues that has to do with engaging, interacting with and teaching them.
