SUSAN ELLEN KATZ, BA, RMT

FOR TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS, Ms. Katz has worked as a registered music therapist, educator, music instructor, liturgical musician, professional concert harpist, pianist and lyric soprano.

SHE HAS TRAINED students, teachers, nurses, music and art therapists, health care practitioners and volunteers in pre-schools, schools, colleges, universities, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes and hospitals.

MS. KATZ PROVIDES ESSENTIAL GUIDANCE to youth, parents and teachers to facilitate self-improvement, character development and the joys of diversity through music, art, poetics, drama and literature. This marvelous, musical adventure inspires young people to embark upon their own unique paths of self-discovery. She conducts classes, workshops and presentations both locally and nationally.

MISSION

  • To introduce children and youth (ages 5-18) to the wonderful world of music, and provide them with essential technical and academic skills necessary to achieve artistic proficiency.
  • To create a positive learning environment where success-oriented experiences instill self-confidence, self discipline and increase self-esteem.
  • To provide an opportunity for young people to experience the joy of music-making so their lives may be filled with inspiration, beauty, harmony and creativity.
  • To 'Keep the Music Alive' in our hearts, homes and schools.
  • To offer greater understanding regarding the extra musical benefits of sound to parents, grandparents and teachers, and how music can be used to increase the intellect, balance the emotions, strengthen the body, inspire the spirit and literally, transform lives.
